A tiny, sleepy holiday village with a glorious beach!

Seal Rocks – a picturesque coastal village nestled along the NSW coastline. Renowned for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and iconic rock formations, Seal Rocks offers a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts, surfers and beach-bums alike.

Location: Seal Rocks is located 277 km north along the coast from Sydney via the Pacific Highway, the Lakes Way and Seal Rocks Road.

Behind the name: Originally named due to all the fur seals that live along the rocks during certain months of the year.

Dog friendly: Boat beach at Seal rocks is a dog friendly beach, with both on leash and off leash areas to explore! There are no time restrictions noted for this section of the beach!

Other activities: Snorkelling and diving is amazing along the rocks and off Statis Rock. You can check out the huge shells for sale by the local fishermen and take the gravel road straight up to Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse.

So, if you’re travelling through the mid north coast of NSW, make sure to stop in at Seal Rocks. You won’t be disappointed!

Today we decided to go on an adventure with our two frenchie and spend the day at Boat beach – Seal Rocks! Although the weather wasn’t amazing, we had the best time running along the beach, climbing the rocks and wadding in the water. The dogs loved the calm ocean, and the sand was so golden and warm! A perfect place to bring the family. This is such a beautiful destination and it’s even better knowing it’s dog friendly. The locals are lovely, the little shop is delightful and the scenery is simply stunning. There’s plenty to do and see. Definitely a must when travelling past the mid north coast.
