This is a fantastic day walk for the whole family, fur-babies included. It’s 8km each way and a 16km round trip, but you can easily do half if the situation calls for it. The 4.6km Kilcunda to Punchbowl section is perfect for spotting wildflowers during springtime! The overall walk is suitable for most skill-levels with only a few hills.
There are plenty of beaches along the way, as well as stunning vistas of the Bass Coast. The scenery is noteworthy, switching from dramatic sea cliffs to rolling farmland in a matter of minutes. Be sure to keep your pooch on their lead, especially for beach safety and as a precaution against strong ocean currents.

Great walk with stunning views! Lots of beaches to stop at along the way although not good swimming beaches there are plenty of rocks to explore. Walk as much or as little as you like – do a car shuffle and park a car at each end, walk the whole way there and back, or walk up as far as you like and then back to the start. Dogs on lead are welcome, and the track is not too tricky, although there is some walking in sand, and it can be a bit muddy/slippery in parts of the track if the weather has been a bit wet. One of our faves!
