Amanda often refers to 'our family' as her, Lola, Maverick (not in this photo as he is sleeping in the other room) & myself, yet I seem to always picture a family as the whole parents and kids things.⁣
⁣
I guess it depends on how we grew up and how our own family interacts. Yet Amanda is right, in our life there is always the four of us, two humans and two dogs. We aim to take our family with us wherever we go. Even this picture, Lola included, was taken on a work trip to the Sunshine Coast. We simply found a dog loving AirBnb boheme.peregian.beach packed up the 'kids' and spent a few days yonda.⁣

What's 1km long, completely surrounded by sea and built from old wooden boards? That'd be the Beachport Jetty 👆🏻

It's the second longest jetty in South Australia and when the sun is shining, it makes for a great walk. Pro tip - hoomans, you need a light jacket or jumper because it sure gets breezy 🌬 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You may have seen our feature on @buyfromthebush a short while back and with all our new followers I thought I might take this opportunity to introduce myself.

Elyse here, and I live and run Take Your Pet from a property in North West NSW. By my side I have My hubby, 3 kiddies and our 3 dogs & cat (Kevin, Betty, Wilma (pictured) & Harley)

Take your Pet was a brainchild that stemmed from when we used to travel allot (pre-kids) with our staffy and found it hard to find places suitable for us to stay, stretch the legs, get a caffeine hit etc with our beloved 4 legged mate in tow…. From there Take Your Pet was born.

Come to now, I may not be on the road with the pooches as much as I would love to be (probably because I live in the middle of nowhere and Betty takes up our whole boot), but I am super passionate about providing a resourceful, easy to use website, for those that can’t (and nor should you) leave your pets behind.

We think of Take Your Pet as one big pet lovin community and rely heavily on your contribution whether it be reviews, adding new places or tagging us in some cracker images of you out and about adventuring with your furry mates. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I want to thank you for your support and for following us as we grow. This is not only a passion of mine but it has also helped me escape the mundane of this drought that has gone on for far too long for so many. #distractioniskey right!!!

Here’s to a cracking and exciting year ahead, we have some super exciting things happening in the pipelines and although I can’t be everywhere at once, just know that I’m the one behind the scenes spreading the love and awareness on the many #petfriendly places that our great country has to offer….tie that with a massive side of jealousy over everybody’s adventures I come across. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
